The Tallis Scholars

Founded in 1973, The Tallis Scholars, have established themselves as the leading exponents of Renaissance sacred music in the world. Director, Peter Phillips, has worked with the ensemble to create a sound which best serves the Renaissance repertoire. It is for this purity and clarity of sound that The Tallis Scholars have become so widely renowned. The evening will include pieces by Byrd, Gibbons, Tavener and Britten. The Portsmouth Grammar School Chamber Choir will also be joining in with The Tallis Scholars during parts of the performance.
