Recycle Week 2025 - September 22 - 28

This Recycle Week, we’ve been reflecting on the small choices that shape the world around us. At the Cathedral, thousands of people pass through our doors each week, and with them come bottles, cups, papers and wrappers. Until now, it hasn’t always been easy to know what goes where. That’s why we’ve introduced new bins, clearly marked for plastics, cans, cardboard, paper and general waste, making it simpler for everyone to do their bit. Whether you’re stopping by for worship, a concert, or just a quiet look around, taking a moment to recycle correctly really does make a difference.

We’re also doing our part behind the scenes by choosing recycled or recyclable materials wherever we can, from the flyers and event programmes we print to the packaging used in our shop. It’s all part of reducing waste and caring for creation in a practical way. Recycling well means fewer items end up in landfill, and by rinsing, flattening and placing things in the right bin, we help ensure materials can truly be given a new life. These may seem like small acts, but together they add up to something bigger. This week, we invite you to join us in making those everyday choices that protect our shared environment.
