Seafood on the Green - 4 July - What to expect
As well as the delicious Seafood Platters and Paella that the PCCA will be serving on Saturday 4 July there will be a fantastic summer raffle! With a first prize of £100 worth of M&S vouchers and second prize of £50 Portsmouth Theatre voucher we are delighted to say that local business Camber Wine have donated the third prize of a trio of wine. To whet your appetite here are some tasting notes on the three delicious wines:
Adobe Reserva Rosé [Organic], Chile
Everything used to make this organic wine is of natural origin. Grapes are hand harvested. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks for 3 months with selected yeasts. Provençale pink in colour with bright alluring aromas of strawberry fruit and white flowers. Super fresh and juicy with red berry character and a dry refreshing finish.
The Cloud Factory Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand
Fruit for this wine comes from vineyards throughout Marlborough’s Wairau Valley. Sappy and fresh with perfumed tropical fruit and lime. The palate has a rich minerality and a clean, mouthwatering finish.
El Ninot de Paper Tinto, Spain
Grapes are sourced from Murviedro's 300 hectares of vineyard, and a further 1500 that they control in the surrounding area. The blend is an equal split of all 3 grape varieties, with the Monastrell component aged for 4 months in oak. Aromas of ripe black fruits with a hint of spice. The palate is bright and juicy - blackberries and plums are balanced by soft tannins, juicy acidity, and a touch of pepper.
To have a chance of winning these delicious wines or any of the other fabulous prizes on offer, get your tickets at the Cathedral Shop. The draw will take place at 2pm during Seafood on the Green, so why not book to join us for a sit down al fresco lunch too?
