Starting in darkness, an Easter fire is kindled outside the West doors and lights are lit throughout the Cathedral as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, who from the darkness of death brings us the light of new life. During this service Bishop Jonathan will baptise and confirm new Christians from around the Diocese of Portsmouth. Music to celebrate the expectation and the joy of Easter will be sung by the Cathedral Choir
