Electoral Roll
The Electoral Roll is a register of people who can take part in elections in the church – similar to being on the civic electoral roll allows you to vote in local council elections. It is the closest thing to a membership list we have as a Cathedral and being on the Cathedral’s Electoral Roll means you can vote at the APCM and stand for elections.
Who can be on the Electoral Roll?
To apply to be on the Cathedral Electoral Roll you must:
Be 16 years old or over (although you can apply in the year you tur 16 and be added to the roll once your birthday has passed)
Be baptized
Either live in the parish, or have attended the Cathedral regularly for at least six months
Do I live in the parish?
You can find out which parish you live in by visiting the A Church Near You website and entering your postcode.
Will my name and address be published?
No. Only your name will appear on the published Electoral Roll.
