Head of Fundraising
Salary range £35,000-40,000 full-time

Portsmouth Cathedral is looking to recruit its first ever Head of Fundraising. The post holder will be responsible for implementing and developing our recently completed fundraising strategy, delivering on the considerable potential that we have across a wide range of fundraising streams.
The successful applicant will have strong, relevant experience and an empathetic and engaging approach, able to advocate for and explain the importance of fundraising across the Cathedral Community. He/she will need to be sympathetic to our ethos and mission.
We really want the right person for this important role, so we are happy to consider part-time working and flexible working both in hours and location. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to the Cathedral and the services that we provide for individuals and communities, both in Portsmouth and across the Diocese.

Cathedral Education Workshop Volunteer
To assist in the preparation and delivery of workshops to school, college and university students..
Counter-tenors, tenors, basses and Organ Scholar
Portsmouth Cathedral Choir and The Portsmouth Grammar School offer unique opportunities for young counter-tenors , tenors, basses and an organ scholar for the academic year 18/19.
Opportunities exist for gap year students (pre- or post-University) to spend a year working with the Portsmouth Cathedral Choirs, whilst working as departmental assistants at one of the country’s leading co-educational schools: Portsmouth Grammar School
The year involves daily choral worship in the Cathedral, major concerts and BBC broadcasts, choir tours (Estonia, Belgium & Italy 2014/15), and recordings.
Recent Portsmouth scholars have gone on to Christ Church Cathedral Oxford, King’s College London, Canterbury, and Hereford Cathedrals, as well as Guildhall, Royal Scottish, and Birmingham Conservatoires.
