Earth Hour 2019 - Saturday 30th March

On the final weekend of March we will be lighting the Cathedral lantern green and switching off for one hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on Saturday 30th in solidarity with global efforts to shine a light on climate change and biodiversity loss.

As part of our responsible stewardship goal we have since 2015 been actively reducing the energy carbon footprint of the Cathedral and Cathedral House, along with raising awareness as part of the Eco Church movement, which we joined in late 2016 as part of our environmental theme year.

Observing Earth Hour is an important part of raising awareness and we hope you will join us in this global "lights out" by switching off at home and igniting conversations about why nature matters.

Joining in easy, you can choose to observe this event from home by switching off your lights. You can also learn more here.
