Eucharist of the Last Supper at 7.00pm sung by the Cathedral Consort.
The service recalls how Jesus washed the feet of his disciples as a sign of loving service, shared bread and wine and instituted the Eucharist. After the service all decoration is stripped from the altars. Those who wish may stay on for a Watch of Prayer until 11.00 pm, as we remember how Jesus was arrested as he prayed in the garden of Gethsemane.
President & Preacher: The Dean "Beyond Gethsemane".
On the first Easter day, Jesus’ disciples found his tomb was empty, then met and ate with the risen Jesus. Our celebrations, begun last night, continue with festival services throughout the day.
