Fish and Chip on Cathedral Green - starting this week!

Due to the recent sad news from Buckingham Palace, we have taken the decision to delay the launch of Fish and Chips on the green until 23 September. Further information will be available soon.

Theres nothing like fish and chips by the seaside, so we’re pleased to be welcoming Frying High to Cathedral Green from this Friday.

There are many fantastic spots to enjoy a ‘chippy tea’ by the water in Old Portsmouth, and we’re excited to be working with a local business to provide great food at a spectacular venue.

Starting Friday 9 September find Dan and his patriotic Fish & Chip van, parked up on the south-west front. With traditional favourites including cod, scampi, sausages and Pukka pies.

Frying High will be at the Cathedral every Friday and Saturday for an 8 week trial, until 29 October. We’ll also be looking to work with local homeless charities shelters free hot meals during the trial period.

Events Manager, Jemima Crayden said “We’re really pleased to be working with local businesses such as Frying High to bring traditional fish and chips to Old Portsmouth. We hope to provide more partnership opportunities like this, allowing more of our local community enjoy our wonderful building and outside spaces.”

Jemima went on to say “In every project we work on, we look to see what else we can do to support our local community and those in need. We’ll be getting in touch with homeless shelters and charities around the city with the aim to provide free hot meals and support those most in need.”

You can find the Frying High Fish & Chip van at Portsmouth Cathedral’s green, from 23 September…
