Wearing a face mask inside the Cathedral is now a personal choice, we continue to take precautions to ensure everyones visit is as comfortable and safe as possible.

Updates to Covid-19 Guidance - January 2022

We continue to take every precaution to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Government guidance on wearing face coverings were relaxed on 27 January, but coverings are still recommended in crowded and indoor spaces where you may come into contact with people you do not normally meet.

 
 

Changes we’ve made

  • The Cathedral will be thoroughly cleaned every evening and light cleaning will take place throughout the day

  • Hand sanitiser will be available as you enter

  • We will continually review the set up and make adjustments as needed

What to expect

  • Entrance and exit will be via the South Door only. A volunteer will be outside the South Door to welcome you to the Cathedral.

  • All parts of the Cathedral are open, please ensure you respect other groups space when moving around the Cathedral.

  • We encourage you to check in with the NHS Test and Trace app, or leave your details with a volunteer as you enter.
